Howard Miller woke up one July morning to find strange noises coming from downstairs as he dressed he realized that the plumbers were here to find the source of a leak. Upon entering the kitchen he found two odd things one there was a large section of wall missing from the hallway going of the back of the kitchen going to the back door. And two instead of the pipes and wiring he had bin expecting to be revealed by the plumber’s removal of the wall he found another hallway. This went for about 8 feet before it descended to the strangest thing of all. Double diner doors. Porthole style windows lay on the top sections of stainless steal doors unmistakably coming from a very old diner. His father was about to descend with a flashlight while his mother looked worried at the top of the stairs. Howard only got to gaze for a second or two before his mother handed him his lunch and hustled him off to school. After a day of school that passed like a dream Howard had double swim practice for the swim team after which he had weight-room also for the swim team. When he got home he found cold teriyaki chicken and a note saying he was confined to his room throwing the note away he headed toward the hallway with a piece of chicken in each hand a. gruff looking plumber with sideburns turned him the other direction and locked Howard in his room. Howard awoke in a start he was being dragged down a dark flight of stars by something he couldn’t see and could only half feel. too his rescue came five union solders in blue tattered uniforms one grabbed him and the others linked arms and fought to bring Howard to the top of the stairs. Eventually the fight was won Howard looked around to thank the men who saved him but they ran and hid themselves disappearing completely within a moment of being out of his sight. His mother and father appeared gave him money for lunch and sent him to school so fast he didn’t have time to tell them what happened but Howard know that they wouldn’t have listened. “But why” he asked his parents always listened to him. after school and swim practice he come home jest in time for extreme youth club a youth group that met in the Miller family home.it was about 20 minuets into there hanging out section of the non existent “program” when his mother came over to him and scolded him harshly for flirting with a girl he sighed and in that moment caught out of the corner of his eye an image of his mother across the room. he turned his head his mother was sitting and talking with someone he looked back his other mother was right next to him. “hell no!” he said grabbing other-mother by the wrist he dragged her to mother and slapped other-mothers hand onto mothers arm nothing happen the timelines didn’t align the universe didn’t correct itself. ”no!” he cried his father triad to say something to him but it wasn’t important he had to correct this he knew he had to. his other father was alone in the other room Howard searched the kitchen from top to bottom franticly to find something to kill other-father with. he found nothing. everything every knife and every other instrument of death was gone he turned to leave and look some ware else but the other-father blocked his path sitting in an armchair with a barricade to his back and everything in the house that could end his life laying on the floor in front of him. knifes and sharp objects from the kitchen abounded as well as what looked like farming equipment and every dangerous thing that one might desire to end a life with. The other-father knew. somehow he knew Howard would try to kill him. Howard saw the look in other fathers eye and knew he would return the favor he ran back to ware his fathers wine rack should be but it was gone turning he saw the contents of the wine rack was now in the floor of the hallway Howard picked up what looked like an ancient coke bottle he had never seen before. its thick walls were dirty gray glass. turning around he found his other-father bearing down on him with a long kitchen knife. He blocked the first swing with the bottle and than triad to make a weapon out of it by smashing it on the wall but the bottle was unnaturally thick and didn’t brake. it was in that instant that Howard started being dragged down the stairs again this time without any hope of rescue. and then she happened. Howard saw a girl a bit shorter than he she was dressed somewhat like a goth and wearing biker gloves she took a step towers him and in less than a second she had put the gloves on him she than walked up the stairs dragging him behind. when they got to the top she looked at him and smiled and then walked of into the mall. Howard with much effort pulled off the gloves and placed them in the doorway like they were sacred and closed the door.

wanted to see her.death would visit but he was always so perky it made him want to cry, happiness had left him a long time ego
and gambling wasn't something he really needed to do anymore.she could feel the souls returning and wanted to get to ware thay

had thare cup of coffee "il make you a deal you go back to your job and il get her a job with you ,now how dos that sound?" like
that was his desire he already knew what was going to happen he had seen it a million times in the tempest that sat before
his eyes the storm between what is and what may be.
to Colten it seemed the sun was setting as the ship came in and out of Mercury's orbit comming in for a landing on the dark side. he wondered at the metaphysics of a place ware fire and ice give birth to a thin strip of green. he sometimes wondered ware all the gods had gone and in his heart he knew this was ware his heart would be reborn
Joel waited patently in the outer hall, waiting for the master to get ready.it was always taxing for him in
that he always had to wait to see his clan-members. but today he would be patent for he he had good reason to wait. the damnable Urn seemed to be burning a hole in his pocket. Joel worried that the other vampires might be able to sense the Blood Matrons ashes. he heard one of the mistakes walking down the hall. he felt no pity at thare plight he always knew that how one got the dark gift was less important than how you used it.
he waited for the newling to open the door, she was a nord with bright red hair and deep gray eyes before her un-intentioned turning. now her stilthrim white eyes contrasted with her blood red hair. "the ancient will see you now, use the shortcut through the observatory" her voice was deep for a woman but still hountingly beautiful. Joel remembered enjoying both her and her blood fully. he had never really gotten a taste for Nord blood. too cold for his taste but she had been good.
